GET MESSY 2017 | HABIT | WEEK 30

This is our last in between week before the new season of Get Messy starts!

It is one I am really looking forward too and I am also planning on approaching it  a little differently too, so.. stay tuned!

I used this last solo-habit week to create independently. No prompts or inspiration. Just myself and my sketchbook. I didn't even glue some things down, just arranging ephemera and taking pictures was enough.

Doing this type of art and creative practise, for me, is really refreshing. I think it's important to get back to yourself once and a while, ignoring external elements and trying to concentrate on your feelings.

I was trying to work through my emotions of the week (nothing special but still valid) and was thinking about what I had learnt when going through some lessons of the heart journal course more about the course here. So even though I only had about half an hour to immerse myself creatively, I felt like it was enough and beneficial for me.

I love creating in this freer way and recommend it to anyone who wants to tap into some quick creative time!

  1. That's how I sometimes feel too - that I just need to ignore all the prompts and just be me in my art journal.
